Here is an American Flyer 1489 Standard Gauge Blue Presidential Special Set from 1928-1934. Included is the 4-4-4 NYC style locomotive which measures 18-1/2 inches long with the couplers. Also included are 4 passenger cars: 4390 West Point club car, 4391 Annapolis pullman, 4392 Army-Navy observation, and 4393 Academy diner car. Features for the locomotive include a two-tone blue painted body with black frame and two black pony trucks, brass journal boxes and air tanks, brass railings and trim, 3 brass plates per side, 2 head lamps with nickel plated hoods, two white flags, brass bell connected to bell-ringer mechanism, and two large brass pantographs. It features forward and reverse operation, as well as operating lights. The passenger cars feature interior lights, enameled sliding and spring-loaded brass doors, brass trim, and stamped trucks with brass journals. Each car measures approximately 19 inches in length.
