The HQ sound module is a 1.4 x 2.3 x .4 circuit board that consists of a voltage regulator, a sound chip, with a build in 1/2 watt amplifier for prototypical sound near the event, a volume control, and terminal strips. These modules have a maximum play time of 60 seconds depending on the scenario programmed into them, and can be played one time, or continuous looping until turned off. HQ sound modules can be used around the layout, under the layout, or in buildings. For onboard trains, there are options in our Instructions. For out door use you can weather proof modules as easy as sealing them in Zip Lock Bags or more elaborate methods if desired.
